Slow Traverse is the instrumental production project of singer/songwriter Rob Riccardo. Having built a devoted fan base off of his inspirational lyrics and often nature-based themes, Riccardo created Slow Traverse as a way to explore his love of sonic composition, take a break from words and focus more heavily on the music — something he’s wanted to do since discovering his favorite atmospheric instrumental artists, like The Album Leaf and Explosions In The Sky during his college years in the Northeast. These artists soon became the soundtrack for his adventures on the mountain, down the trail or on a morning drive to check the surf.

Slow Traverse highlights the melodies, rhythms and atmospheric energy found within the majestic landscapes Riccardo explores around his home in the West and beyond.

Slow Traverse’s debut full-length album, The Places We Roam, released on November 1, 2018. The LP features 11 tracks named after, and inspired by, various landscapes that Riccardo has ventured in...or dreamed of.

New instrumental music is on the way.
